Many disturbing examples demonstrate that scientific debate and inquiry on the Internet is not always free nor open. One such example may be Google’s recently announced plan to begin manipulating search engine results to reward websites based on their apparent factual soundness. The stated purpose of the plan is to reduce in Google searches the visibility of sites that promote “misinformation.” Why was this plan constructed, and what effect will it have on the public’s use of the Google search engine as a means of inquiry? Electric Currents Create Cosmic Magnetic Fields – Thunderbolts Project
Scientists in Germany using the Hubble space telescope have detected extremely strong magnetic fields in a quasar which is said to be about 4 billion light years from Earth. The magnetic fields were measured at 200 million Gauss. In comparison, the strength of the magnetic field at Earth’s surface is only about one Gauss. The scientists state that the magnetic fields are very close to the quasar’s theoretical, central black hole.
