Vertical Landing Rockets Before SpaceX
If you thought Blue Origin and SpaceX invented vertical landing rockets with the New Shepard and Falcon 9 then think again. We have had vertical take of and landing systems for the best part of 60 years though its really only in the 1990’s that we had a rocket that we directly relate to the new SpaceX and Blue Origin vehicles. In this video we look and the vertical landing rockets before SpaceX including the Mcdonnell Douglas DC-X This video is sponsored by Brilliant.org : https://brilliant.org/CuriousDroid Presented by Paul Shillito Written & Researched By Paul Shillito Images and Footage NASA, SpaceX, Blue Origin McDonnell Douglas, Lockheed Martin, Bell Aerosystems Intro…

Electric Venus Continues To Confound
A scientific paper published this year in Nature Astronomy deepens the many mysteries that the planet Venus presents. The authors were surprised to find chaotic cloud movements on the night-side of Venus’s super-rotating upper atmosphere. The greatest surprise was the discovery of distinct filamentary structures in clouds which appear to touch down on Venus’s mountains. We discuss in this Space News why this is only the latest confirmation of electric currents driving Venusian atmospheric and weather phenomena. This Is Who You Are
I wish every Human Being on Earth could watch this! There are so many labels, identities, cultures, religions, and even political affiliations that we can use to divide us. But our connection is so simple and greater than all these. Energy is who you truly are and energy is how we know we are one. What Survives Inside A Black Hole?
Weâve established by now that black holes are weird. The result of an absolute gravitational collapse of a massive body: a point of hypothetical infinite density surrounded by an event horizon. At that horizon time is frozen and the fabric of space itself cascades inwards at the speed of light. Nothing can travel faster than light, and so nothing can escape from below the event horizon- not matter, not light, not even information. These ideas are pretty mind-blowing but as crazy as black holes are, theyâre also kind of ⊠simple. Donât get me wrong; the math is complicated. But the objects themselves are simple. In fact, every black hole…

Electricity, Water, Life, and the Cosmos
EU2017: Future Science — Rebroadcastâonly $29: https://www.electricuniverse.live In the previous episode, physicist Eugene Bagashov introduced us to potentially groundbreaking scientific research into the influence of electrical charge on the properties and behaviors of water. The recently published paper states that the electric charge of water influences: its ultraviolet absorption spectrum; its mechanical behavior; the behavior of water solutions; its surface tension; its interaction with polymers; and its freezing temperature. Today, Eugene offers an extensive thought-provoking analysis on the possible vast implications for this research in our Electric Universe. The paper discussed in these two videos: http://www.sciencepublishinggroup.com… If you see a CC with this video, it means that subtitles are available. …

Electricity and Water’s Changing Properties
EU2017: Future Science — Rebroadcastâonly $29: https://www.electricuniverse.live Within the electric universe community, waterâs electrical properties and their relationship to the structure of water is a subject of great interest and growing research. At past Thunderbolts project conferences, Dr. Gerald Pollack has presented his thesis on structured water, and the apparent relationship between waterâs electrical charge, its intermolecular structure, and its surrounding environment. Pollack has proposed what he describes as âEZ waterâ, an âexclusion zoneâ of water which has a negative charge. A new scientific paper may lend credence to these notions, and if valid, could have ramifications reaching well beyond the earth and life sciences, affecting all of cosmology. In…

Why Quantum Information is Never Destroyed
The laws of physics are equations of motion. They are mathematical rules that dictate how systems evolve in time. Newtonâs equations for classical mechanics, Maxwellâs equations for electromagnetism, and the Schrodinger equation for quantum mechanics. These laws can be used to predict how the universe will evolve into the future. They are deterministic; perfect knowledge of a system in the present perfectly predicts how the system will change in the next instant, and the instant after that, ad infinitum. But determinism in the forward-time direction does NOT guarantee that the same laws can perfectly predict the past. And yet this sort of deterministic symmetry – time-reversal symmetry – is essential…

The Star at the End of Time
For the sake of argument, letâs say that humanity survives the several ends of the world that await us. We somehow persist the gradual heating of our Sun and the evaporation of our oceans. Our descendants cling to existence through countless generations we watch the Andromeda galaxy merge with the Milky Way, forming a vast elliptical galaxy. We seek refuge in the outer solar system as the Sun finally expands into a red giant â twice! And finally our heirs or successors find new homes among the stars after the Sunâs final death and transformation into a dim white dwarf. Hosted by Matt O’Dowd Written by Drew Rosen and Matt…

Black Hole Swarms
Itâs been conjectured that the center of the Milky Way is swarming with tens of thousands of black holes. And now weâve actually seen them. The core of our galaxy is a wild place. The stars are so densely packed that the night sky would be 500 times brighter. A supermassive black hole, 4 million times the mass of our Sun lurks in the center. It flings nearby stars into extreme slingshot orbits. It consumes anything that gets too close is consumed, burping a blast of X-rays. We know these things because we see them from our comfortable vantage point 28,000 light years out in the galactic disk. But thereâs…

The Andromeda-Milky Way Collision
The Andromeda galaxy is heading straight toward our own Milky Way. The two galaxies will inevitably collide. Will that be the very last night sky our solar system witnesses? It has a beautiful spiral…
