Pakistan India Stand-Off Crisis Averted?

Formerly my view was that Pakistan and India are at least three major escalations away from a nuclear war. But naturally I am not privy to official sources and it was my educated guess. I grossly underestimated psychopathic tendencies of Indian Prime Minister. Pakistani willingness to peace should never have been…

Pakistan Must Thank Modi For Offering A Free Cup Of Tea, Though It Was Priceless

Indian Rafale Deal: What Are Options For Pakistan?
India and France on Monday inked an inter-governmental MoU on the sale of 36 French fighter jets. According to a statement of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, financial aspects and details of the deal are yet to be worked out. It means technically, both parties have finalized the details of the deal. âOnly financial aspects of the Rafale deal are left. The inter-governmental agreement has been finalised. It will be done soon,â Modi said in his statement after delegation-level talks with French President Francois Hollande. The Prime Minister Modi had announced Indian plan to acquire 36 Rafale aircraft of French aerospace major Dassault during his visit to Paris last year.…

Misconceptions About Waiting Period For Widows
I am going to highlight one misconception prevalent in our society about the Idat or waiting period of widows. It is the common belief that a widow cannot leave her house and has to stay inside for a period of 4 month and 10 days. I did some research and my prime source is the holy Quran which is without any ambiguity or complication but unfortunately Muslims as a whole have stopped understanding it and seek other sources to âcomplimentâ it before following the clear instructions. I pity the day when we realize too late that the complaint in the Quran made by our Prophet (s) to Allah was about…

So Where Does ISIS Stand In Pakistan?
After the wave of attacks in âȘâIraqâŹ, ISIS has turned their attention to âȘâAfghanistanâŹÂ and the Pakistani Consulate in âȘJalalabadâŹ, killing 7 and injuring another 11. Now, we arenât going to sit here and tell you that ISIS doesnât exist in âȘPakistanâŹ. It does, but so minimally that they arenât able to make any kind of strong showing. From the women arrested in Karachi fund raising to the commanders that have been arrested in the Punjab, ISIS doesnât have the strength or the fear factor that al-Qaeda or the TTP have (had) in Pakistan. We have watched as a couple of news channels have broadcast âconfirmedâ information of ISIS cells in Pakistan, based on circumstantial evidence…

Pakistan May Alter The Contours Of A Unipolar World Order
Originally Published By VOE. When President Putin postponed his visit to Pakistan in 2012, the most jubilant countries were India and the US but it was subsequently revealed that this postponement did not mean anything to lift the spirits of Cold War adversaries now turned into allies. The on-going visit to Russia by Gen Raheel Sharif, Pakistanâs most powerful stakeholder is a sufficient indication of realpolitik. Cold War adversaries are switching partners and the events are unfolding so swiftly that it has become difficult to keep track of who will be whose friend after Americans pack up from Kabul and leave. One thing is for sure; foes of yesterday will…
