Can A.I. Choose Between Life And Death?
In this video, I will introduce you to one of the most interesting philosophical thought experiments, and how it relates to artificial intelligence. It’s the trolley problem. This ethical dilemma ceased to be a theoretical question during the pandemic, when hospitals around the world had to decide which patients to allocate ICU beds or lifesaving ventilators to, due to the shortage of beds and equipment. Let’s examine the complexity of such decisions, and what would happen if we let A.I. choose.
