Sam Harris On AI And The Future

This is a fantastic compilation by Science-Based Species regarding Sam Harris. The video mainly covers the future of real AI. The one thing I want to make clear is that this kind of talk on real AI is for something very far in the future. Much of the discussion is a false fear of AI, which makes for a great debate with the fantasy and dystopian driven ideology people.

AI or artificial intelligence is only at the “DUMB” or “Narrow AI” stage, which means it can search and sort stuff really fast. That is not intelligence, it is a very complex if, then, else statement. Today’s society has fear and will discuss items from a fear-based approach, so use common sense.
