20 Very Interesting Pieces Of Advice From People Over 60
The most important person in your life is the person who agreed to share their life with you. Treat them as such. You might live a long life, or you might live a short one — who knows. But either way, trust me when I say that you’re going to wish you took better care of yourself in your youth. Stuff is just stuff. Don’t hold onto material objects; hold onto time and experiences instead. Jealousy destroys relationships. Trust your significant other, because who else are you supposed to trust? People always say, ’’Make sure you get a job doing what you love!’’ But that isn’t the best advice. The…

Indian Rafale Deal: What Are Options For Pakistan?
India and France on Monday inked an inter-governmental MoU on the sale of 36 French fighter jets. According to a statement of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, financial aspects and details of the deal are yet to be worked out. It means technically, both parties have finalized the details of the deal. “Only financial aspects of the Rafale deal are left. The inter-governmental agreement has been finalised. It will be done soon,” Modi said in his statement after delegation-level talks with French President Francois Hollande. The Prime Minister Modi had announced Indian plan to acquire 36 Rafale aircraft of French aerospace major Dassault during his visit to Paris last year.…

So Where Does ISIS Stand In Pakistan?
After the wave of attacks in Iraq, ISIS has turned their attention to Afghanistan and the Pakistani Consulate in Jalalabad, killing 7 and injuring another 11. Now, we aren’t going to sit here and tell you that ISIS doesn’t exist in Pakistan. It does, but so minimally that they aren’t able to make any kind of strong showing. From the women arrested in Karachi fund raising to the commanders that have been arrested in the Punjab, ISIS doesn’t have the strength or the fear factor that al-Qaeda or the TTP have (had) in Pakistan. We have watched as a couple of news channels have broadcast “confirmed” information of ISIS cells in Pakistan, based on circumstantial evidence…

‘Islamic’ Military Coalition – Really?
The recent announcement of an ‘Islamic’ Military Coalition by the Defense Minister of Saudi Arabia has raised some questions. The first thing that hits home is the fact that no Shia Muslim country is a part of this Islamic Coalition. I am all for a strong military coalition that has representation from all Muslim countries. This coalition on the other hand, does not include ‘all’; on the contrary, it sidelines some countries on the basis of sectarian differences. One wonders why the Ummah keeps on playing in the hands of Zionists and dividing itself on the basis of sects. Why this ‘Islamic’ military coalition comprises of only Sunni Muslim countries?…

Discrimination In Saudi Arabia Is In Violation Of Prophet’s [PBUH] Last Sermon
Originally Published By VOE. Did anyone, including the UN and HR organizations, ever notice that besides Israel, we still have another apartheid regime on the face of this planet? Yes, it is none other than the citadel of Islam, the Saudi Arabian regime. The loudest message of Islam is that all humans, irrespective of caste, creed and ethnicity, are equal and no one has any preference over others in the eyes of God. Yet, not all Saudis are equal. The members of Royal Family are more equal than other Saudis. Other Saudis are judged on the basis of their faith and all key jobs are doled out to those who profess the Salafist faith,…

In Defense Of The State Within A State
Originally Published By VOE. Political regimes have come and gone but the fundamental assumptions about core national interests and related policies will remain unchanged. This is true about all the countries on the face of this planet. There have been efforts in many countries, under internal pressure and external influence, to change the course of policies particularly those relating to national security but all these efforts have always been thwarted. All the countries tend to keep their integrity and sovereignty intact and guard their national interests jealously. How do they do that? There is one invisible force, a state within a state, which assumes the responsibility to keep the status quo…

Why Russian Jet Was Shot Down By Turkey, A Day Before Russian Foreign Minister’s Visit?
Originally Published By VOE. Turkey has shot down a Russian SU-24 jet for violating Turkish airspace on Tuesday. The jet was downed after Turkey’s consistent warnings to the jet to turn around fell on deaf ears. The Russian jet, if it actually strayed into Turkish airspace, must have been there by mistake and not to attack any Turkish target. The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that one of its jets was shot down while flying within the borders of the Syrian territory. Why has this unfortunate incident taken place when Turkey and Russia are not even in direct conflict over Syrian strife except some incident of shelling at some Turkmen villages in North Syria?…

Russia’s Attack On A Major US Proxy In Syria Could Trigger A Wider Conflict
Originally Published By Voice Of The East. The worst has finally happened. Russia has joined a conflict in the Middle East which has the potential to turn into a war of wider scale between the two nuclear-armed giants. Weakened by the loss of economic might and kinetic power, and a major chunk of USSR states in 1989, Russians were unable to pose any potent threat to hegemony of the US but it seems that they have been emboldened to throw down a gauntlet to the West led by the US. The first test was in Ukraine which returned Russians to victory and now it is Syria where President Putin had…

India Balkanization Is The Logical Option For Regional Peace
Originally Published By VOE India is the only major country of the world facing a fiercest insurgency of such a scale that nearly half of the country has plunged into instability imperiling the security of the remaining half. As a matter of fact, destabilized India poses grave risks to the peace and security of not only the region, the world at large will be exposed to destabilization. The sheer size of the country, its nuclear arsenal and its uncontrolled ambition to reign in the world makes it even a bigger monster than Al Qaeda and other such entities. Presently, seven states of North East India, known as Seven Sisters, and an…
