We Are Not In A Healthy Place And We Need To Vocalize It
As a transhumanist, I am horrified where we are at this moment in time. Society as a whole is moving at warp speed into a very large brick wall and people right now are complaining that we are not heading into the brick wall fast enough. This is a dystopian nightmare in the here and now and to be honest not enough people are vocalizing that simple fact. Good people right now are sitting back and watching this nightmare and are afraid to vocalize the truth and to call out the madness for what it truly is, Madness. Society is breaking down into it’s lowest common denominator based on racial…

Transhumanism Needs To Develope Beyond Mimicry
Transhumanism encompasses a number of beliefs regarding the human being, technology, science and at times philosophy. Currently, Transhumanism is stuck in a caricature mode of applying untested or unrealistic technology in a way to advance core Transhumanist belief systems. I’m excited to share my new article at @Newsweek on #transhumanism, 3D Bioprinting the dead, and #QuantumArchaeology. This is one of my most challenging articles yet. It’s a bit long and really needs to be read all the way through. Enjoy! https://t.co/KBJRqFuBkC pic.twitter.com/g9Nc5K9kHi â Zoltan Istvan (@zoltan_istvan) March 9, 2018 It sounds fantastic to invent a path that we can 3D print human parts. Who knows maybe someday we will be…

Refuting Ayn Randâs âImmortal Robotâ Argument – G. Stolyarov II
Here I refute an argument that has been leveled against proponents of indefinite human longevity from a surprising direction â those sympathetic to the Objectivist philosophy of Ayn Rand. Some advocates of Ayn Randâs philosophy believe that indefinite life would turn human beings into âimmortal, indestructible robotsâ that, according to Ayn Rand, would have no genuine values. Both of these claims are false. Indefinite life would not turn humans into indestructible robots, nor would an indestructible robot with human abilities lack values or motivation for doing great things. In Ayn Randâs own words, âAchieving life is not the equivalent of avoiding death.â (John Galtâs speech in For the New Intellectual, p. 135)…

Imbecilic Dog-God-AI-Delusion – Singularity Utopia
Super-smart AI harming or enslaving humans is a fiction similar to gods. It is fitting to link the two idiotic delusions together, which Steve Wozniak did in March 2015. Gods have zero relevance to intelligence. Gods relate wholly to deluded people. Gods are delusional, they are an illusion, pure fantasy. Gods aren’t intelligent, they don’t exist. Gods are exactly identical to the AI fear, it is all nonsense. There will never be any AI risk. Beyond the folly of Steve Wozniak every AI doom-monger demonstrates idiocy regarding super-intelligence. Forgive my bluntness when I state these high-profile commentators are utter morons. Wozniak thinks humans could be pet dogs for super-intelligences. With…

The Transhumanist Declaration 2.0
This was the winner of the competition for a new declaration that was held by Transhumanity. As such it is currently the definition adopted by Zero State. It is shorter than those it was based upon with many of the negative caveats concerning its dangers condensed into a single point.  Humanity stands to be profoundly affected by science and technology in the future. We assert the desire ability of transcending human limitations by overcoming aging, enhancing cognition, abolishing involuntary suffering, and expanding beyond Earth. We intend to become more than Human. The single defining factor of Transhumanism that separates it from all previous philosophies is the proposed use of…

Eugenics and Transhumanism
Eugenics, well it’s all about killing off genetic defectives, gassing people designated as insane or subhuman and giving lethal injections to kids with learning difficulties. Or at least it has become that in popular imagination. The original impetus for eugenics was the observation by certain members of Victorian era Middle Class scientific establishment that the feckless poor (and therefore stupid) were out-breeding clever people and thereby dumbing down Humanity as a whole and the âsuperior racesâ in particular. Ways had to be found of discouraging big families amongst the âwrong peopleâ and encouraging the âright peopleâ to breed a bit more. Since the âright peopleâ were generally fairly intelligent, articulate…

Transhumanist Ideas Need to Evolve for Mainstream Popularity
Why do you (transhumanists in general) care if mainstream thinking in modern civilization cares about âTranshumanismâ? If you talk to random people on the street about transhumanism, you will get eye-squinting and other strange responses. For the most part, the response will be negative. Transhumanism is not anywhere close to anything the average person cares about. However, if you could back a few decades and ask someone about being âGreenâ you would get a similar response to what you get now regarding âTranshumanism.â In general, we all seem to agree that Transhumanism by itself is mostly a secular idea; that we as humans can be more than what we are,…

Transhumanism and Mind Uploading Are Not the Same
Author: Gennady Stolyarov II In what is perhaps the most absurd attack on transhumanism to date, Mike Adams of NaturalNews.com equates this broad philosophy and movement with âthe entire idea that you can âupload your mind to a computerââ and further posits that the only kind of possible mind uploading is the destructive kind, where the original, biological organism ceases to exist. Adams goes so far as calling transhumanism a âdeath cult much like the infamous Heavenâs Gate cult led by Marshal Applewhite.â I will not devote this essay to refuting any of Adamsâs arguments against destructive mind uploading, because no serious transhumanist thinker of whom I am aware endorses…
