CNET Update – Reddit’s identity crisis
I am not shocked that Reddit is having all kinds of problems. First of all, it is not open, never has been and never will be. It has been a cult of personality for years. The Wave Chronicle for a while tried to use Reddit to pass along articles, videos, commentary, all of which has been popular but has been denied the opportunity to post content. Personally, I cannot understand why anyone uses Reddit at all. It is extremely difficult to use, discrimination is rampant, and the system is built not to post content.
For my life, I cannot understand why advertisers spend money on Reddit. Do the advertisers know that Reddit Users are denied access to groups? Still, to those who fit in, best of luck with Reddit, but until the Wave Chronicle actually see’s a change of policies on how content is denied, we have no use for it. Facebook, Twitter, and Google are far superior for content and advertisers.
