The Ongoing Net Neutrality Debate

With all of the drama going on in Washington, it may seem to you that the Net Neutrality Debate has died down. Which is very far from the truth.

What I am going to do is to list a number of difference sources with information. You still have an internal struggle at the FCC and I am going to list a number of the articles from members of the FCC below. What I am going to list first is a video from the Corbett Report regarding Net Neutrality, which is taking the side of Chairman Pai.

On an overall basis, I do not agree with the concept that no regulation is better than some regulation. You will always need regulations so companies will behave for the common good. I know that those kinds of beliefs are “pie in the sky” but we simply cannot bet that people / companies / corporations will behave by their own best angels.

As the Grand Republic we must also insure that rights and freedoms will not be put in jeopardy because the powers that should not be, can deregulate an industry for profit. The internet and the infrastructure that surrounds that system, must be protected, and updated. The concept, that we cannot do both in unacceptable and shortsighted.

Below are a number of documents from various members of the FCC.

Strive to do more, while you still can.

I have a wide range of views and opinions. I have worked in a number of industries some of them are: Banking, Dairy, Health Insurance, Education and Government. I am the owner and editor in charge of a number of websites and message boards. The crown jewel of the websites is WaveChronicle.com which covers a wide variety of content. The Wave Chronicle is a site built to put forth thought provoking information, which can range from activism, politics, technology, philosophy, climate change, education, futurist / transhumanist theory and some fun articles that tend to be on the conspiracy theory side. Finally, I am also an accomplished no limit holdem poker player who sadly does not see enough time at a poker table.
