Why Free-Market Advocates Are Not Obligated to Defend the Economic Status Quo – G. Stolyarov II
Many on the political left today equate advocacy of free-market capitalism with an “anything goes” support for the economic status quo. Many on the political right give credence to this perception by, indeed, seeking to defend the status quo just because it happens to be so. Yet this is neither an obligatory nor an advisable approach for characterizing a genuinely well-considered free-market outlook. Suppose that you are a free-market advocate and also an engineer, well-versed in the principles and methods for constructing durable, safe structures. You hold that individuals and businesses should have the freedom to be able to build structures which would improve human well-being, in exchange for the…

Economy, Money, and Living – AMTV
This is a great video by Christopher Greene of AMTV. Christopher discusses some serious issues with the economy, which may or may not be true. The Wave Chronicle still holds to its article regarding the US economy here. The main reason why I am putting this video on the site is Christopher Greene’s discussion about living life in a down economy. America has become a soft nation of children demanding and getting most of what it wants. Those days may not exist in the future and people need to adapt, just like the people in America during the Great Depression. Money is not everything, being on the top of the list, having the coolest gadgets is…

Market Issues January 2016
I personally do not understand the particular drama behind the Asian selloff that has started this month. Let’s get some things straight: China is not going to consume at a 7% rate anytime in the near future. We are in a commodities slump, world wide. We are in a world wide growth slowdown. These three items have been this way for more than a year. We have no new fundamentals in January to lead to such catastrophic market events. I also do not blame this selloff on the Chinese Government or the people who run the financial system. The systems that are in place currently in China has worked. Mind…
